Doctor & Patient Testimonials
Does it work? Columbia University psychiatrist Richard P. Brown says he has used the device with 400 severely depressed patients and that more than 70% find relief -- about twice the rate of anti-depressants.
– The Wall Street Journal
Initially I was deep in major depression, found it next to impossible to write or do other professional work, and in spite of my own training and experience, found myself contemplating suicide at times. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type II. I had spoken to my psychiatrist about the possibility of stopping my use of meds entirely, and about ECT. Through a Google search I came upon your site, and found the information persuasive. The psychiatrist was at first skeptical [but] after she reviewed your material she said simply "I'm impressed," and faxed you a prescription. I used the device regularly for about two months. Most of the time now I feel relatively cheerful, go to sleep more easily and awaken more refreshed in the morning. I've started exercising physically again, and have done more writing in the last two months than I had done in the previous year. While I sometimes feel sad or elated or angry, my affect is now within normal limits. With the psychiatrist's approval, my wife, 60 years of age, is now using the stimulator. I intend now to use it two or three times a week.
- Paul Fauteck, Psy.D
I have been using the Fisher Wallace device with select patients for about a year. Almost everyone has reported some improvement in sleep and mood. Most remarkable are the patients I have treated for more than a decade who are now experiencing greater relief than ever before.
